ARTHRITIS & JOINT DEGENERATION

In the United States, 23% of all adults, or more than 54 million people, have arthritis and joint degeneration. It is a leading cause of work disability.

SELF CARE TIPS:

  • Be active. Physical activity—such as walking, bicycling, and swimming—decreases arthritis pain and improves function, mood, and quality of life. Adults with arthritis should move more and sit less throughout the day. Getting at least 150 minutes of moderate-intensity physical activity each week is recommended. However, any physical activity is better than none.

  • Maintain a healthy weight. People can reduce their risk of knee osteoarthritis by controlling their weight.

  • Protect your joints. People can help prevent osteoarthritis by avoiding activities that are more likely to cause joint injuries such as high impact actions or repetitive strained motions.

Stem Cell Treatment for Joints and Arthritis

If you are looking for alternatives to potentially harmful prescription drugs and surgery and would like to try a more natural and non-invasive approach, Stem Cell therapy may be a good choice for you. For many, stem cell therapy has been a life-changing decision that allows them to regain their quality of living. We will educate you as much as possible, giving you clinical trial results and information from verified sources to allow you to make the best decision for yourself or your loved one.

What are Stem Cells?

According to the National Institute of Health, Stem cells are specialized cells, capable of renewing themselves through cell division and can differentiate into multi-lineage cells. These cells are categorized as embryonic stem cells (ESCs), induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSCs) and adult stem cells. Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs) are adult stem cells which can be isolated from human and animal sources. Human MSCs (hMSCs) are the non-haematopoietic, multipotent stem cells with the capacity to differentiate into mesodermal lineage such as osteocytes, adipocytes and chondrocytes as well ectodermal (neurocytes) and endodermal lineages (hepatocytes).

Stem cells are different from other cells in the body in three ways:

  • They can divide and renew themselves over a long time

  • They have the potential to become specialized cells, such as muscle cells, blood cells, and brain cells

Doctors and scientists are excited about stem cells because they could help in many different areas of health and medical research. Studying stem cells may help explain how serious conditions such as birth defects and cancer come about. Stem cells may one day be used to make cells and tissues for therapy of many diseases. Examples include Parkinson's disease, Alzheimer's disease, spinal cord injury, heart disease, diabetes, and arthritis. The ethically sourced highest quality Stem Cells we use:

Mesenchymal stem cells (MSCs)

Also known as mesenchymal stromal cells or medicinal signaling cells are multipotent stromal cells that can differentiate into a variety of cell types, including osteoblasts (bone cells), chondrocytes (cartilage cells), myocytes (muscle cells) and adipocytes (fat cells which give rise to marrow adipose tissue). These are considered the highest quality and most potent legal stem cells on the market. Our manufacturer's tissue bank (UCB) operates to the standards of FDA (Food and Drug Administration) regulations and reaffirms its commitment to public health and safety in the developing field of regenerative medicine with a pristine safety record of more than 14 years.

Amniotic Therapy

Amniotic therapy is quickly becoming popular among people because it has the ability to resolve a lot of problems that occur due to old age and the overuse of muscles, bones and ligaments. Not as potent as mesenchymal stem cells, however, the wonderful elements in amniotic fluid such as cytokines and growth factors are excellent at repairing most orthopedic symptoms experienced by arthritis patients.

Arthritis is a serious disorder of the joints where a patient can suffer from strong inflammation in a number of joints which may be present in the different areas of the body. Arthritis may happen due to a number of reasons such as from a degenerative joint, trauma and simply old age. Infections can also cause the swelling of joints and bring about arthritis.

How our Stem Cell treatment works:

1. We will do a free consultation to see if stem cell treatment is for you, if it is not, we will give you recommendations to alternative methods of recovery even if it means that the business will be done elsewhere (although we do prefer to keep our recommendations holistic and natural). Sometimes it may be a simple diet, lifestyle change, and/or a simple alternative therapy. We will analyze MIR's and X-rays and will do a strength and motion test to diagnose as well as monitor progress before and after the treatment.

2. We use ethically sourced mesenchymal stem cells that are checked for the highest quality standards from UCB. Stem cells from the umbilical cord are proven to have the highest quality and count of stem cells that can be found on the market. The stem cells will be paired with exosomes and a PEMF session before the injection to ensure the highest success rate.

3. We will expedite order the stem cells fresh and schedule the procedure on the day of stem cell arrival.

4. A precise EDAN MT-807 ultrasound-guided injection will be performed by our highly experienced FNP (Family Nurse Practitioner).

5. This will be a same-day procedure and the process should take less than 45 minutes

What are the risks and complications of stem cell therapy?

Stem cell therapy is generally considered a safe procedure with minimal complications, however, as with any medical procedure, complications can occur.

Some risks factors related to stem cell therapy include infection as bacteria, viruses or other pathogens that can cause disease may be introduced during the preparation process.

The procedure to either remove or inject the cells also has the risk of introducing an infection to the damaged tissue into which they are injected. Rarely, an immune reaction may occur from injected stem cells.

Note: We have not had any reported complications with any of our patients to date.
